• One of the very, very few animals that doesn't spook around Wu Haotian
• Can be useful on cases
• Generally the Jiaxian/Haotian outpost mascot
• Reincarnates with the family in each wheel; only one besides Xu Yanjie that retains memories of past lives, but he can't talk, so

Jiaxin: Very loyal to his family as a whole but especially her; goes most places with her, including on cases. Sometimes sniffs out ghosts for her, or alerts her to spiritual disturbances.

Haotian: Used to Hao's incredibly high spiritual pressure and therefore not bothered by it. Occasionally works as his sounding board by having very solemn, silent conversations where they maintain eye contact and no one moves.

Yanjie: Tries to help Yanjie as much as he can, but probably most useful as a source of comfort. Will trot over and lean/sit on Yanjie when he senses his already intense stress levels are spiking.
