Oblivious Sun Wukong sealed into a human body. Laid back skater and free climber. Lives on parkour and adrenaline.

Abilities: Kang is a reincarnation of Sun Wukong (though he doesn't know it), and the vast majority of his powers are magically sealed. Unbound, in addition to super speed and strength, he would be capable of shapeshifting into both living creatures and inanimate objects, making multiple copies of himself, and a variety of powerful spells. As it is, he can occasionally do things normal humans can't – jump a little to high, leap a little too far – but it's nothing all that splashy and he doesn't really notice.

Personality: Kang is one of those “if he were any more laid back he'd be dead,” type of guys, though he definitely has a mischievous streak. He loves a good prank and gets into mild trouble fairly often, like getting caught climbing around abandoned buildings or photobombing paparazzi. He's just extremely mellow in general, taking most things in stride and friendly with just about everyone. He's cool if you just want to chill and watch a stupid movie or if you want to drag him to a loud dance party. He's tolerant of various antics and will help his friends out with basically anything. Getting him to take things seriously is an endeavor. He's even more aimless than he is easy-going.

History: Born in southern California to a single mother who died not long after, Kang grew up being shuffled around his extended family. He got shunted off to whoever had the most time and money for him at the moment, and he never really settled anywhere. He still hasn't. After high school, he went on a road trip with this BFFs Pino and Chachi and sort of bummed their way across the states – and ended up in Moscow. They keep talking about leaving but they haven't really bothered trying yet.

Etc: Kang has a couple loser friend NPCs he hangs around with a lot – they're actually similarly sealed Zhu Bajie (Pino) and Sha Wujing (Chachi), but they've got even less of a clue than Kang does. His long-suffering little cousin Ling is Xuanzang.
