Formerly a Heavenly Star Guardian and now Administrator of the 10th Court, Naihe Bridge Division. Fell from grace when he deserted his post to rescue Bai Xifeng, whom he had met by chance and slowly fallen in love with. He was stripped of his title and post and demoted to Diyu as a result. As a small xian, Xifeng was to have his soul destroyed as punishment, but Yinhe used every bit of strength that he had to save (most) of him and send him to reincarnation instead. Now Xifeng has once again cultivated to human form, but without a key piece of his soul or his memories.

• Tall and broad shouldered
• Generally stoic, rarely shows emotion
• Imposing in dark colors and heavy fabrics

• Reserved and speaks very little
• Often comes off as haughty but is just stonefaced and slow to warm
• Very giving to those he's close to
• Extremely protective of Bai Xifeng
• Tries to be cold to Xifeng to protect him but the tenderness leaks through occasionally
• Thinks very little of his own safety
• Would swallow his own tongue and say he's fine no matter what as long as Xifeng is happy

• Immortal, with the usual accoutrements
• Less powerful than he used to be, post-demotion and using up most of his built up cultivation to save Xifeng
• Has earned some of it back in the intervening years, but still only a middling level xian at this point
• Still, knows some powerful spells
• Particularly adept at protection spells and amulets

• Spent a few thousand years as a heavenly star guardian, a serene and quiet existence
• Met snake spirit Bai Xifeng by chance, awakening the possibility of a whole different life in Yinhe
• Abandoned his post at a critical moment to save Xifeng's life
• Demoted to Diyu as a result; Xifeng was supposed to have his soul permanently destroyed but Yinhe used up most of his power to save him and send him to reincarnation instead; however a key piece of his soul is missing
• Suffered heavenly lightning as retribution and went to the 10th court with vastly diminished power
• Has kept watch over Xifeng since reincarnation, and he has recently regained human form
• Xifeng's memories are sealed by a curse mark on his forehead and he will die if they are unsealed
• Yinhe tries to stay away from Xifeng to protect him but is not very good at it
• Gives Xifeng a protective amulet that lets Yinhe know where he is at all times
• Won't tell Xifeng that he loves him or be with him, but keeps hovering protectively

Bai Xifeng: The one he gave up everything for and would again. Would prefer to suffer forever than let any harm come to him.

Hu Xincheng: His closest or, really, only friend. Knows the whole story and thinks Yinhe needs to take better care of himself.
