Trained in hand-to-hand combat and excels at fighting barehanded, but is the type of guy who can use any weapon and pick it up very quickly, including things that aren't weapons. But he's been taught that anything you can pick up (and some things you can't) can be a weapon if you swing it hard enough. Has for most of his life been able to just punch a problem if it gets in his way but increasingly encounters issues you can't punch or pick up and lob over your head, which has been a real conundrum for him.
