• Moved to New York City after graduation to pursue a professional dance career, but ended up entangled in the arts scene instead
• Got into a relationship with a high society girl who jetset her around the globe; always canny, Cynthia learned to read and mirror subtle social cues, blending in seamlessly with various social groups
• Eventually was introduced to the shady underbelly of the arts world and was intrigued
• Didn't mean to become a world-class thief, it just sort of happened? And it was fun so she kept doing it
• Eventually was recruited into what she didn't know at the time was a mostly PWSA heist crew by Barbara Morgan, a witch
• The crew needed humans to perform certain tasks that were warded against PWSA (generally when stealing magical artifacts) and sometimes just to serve as a face for the group
• This is where Cynthia met and eventually fell in love with Magdalena Novak, her future wife
• While most humans generally were rotated out of the crew in a few years, Cynthia got along so well with Babs and Magda that she stuck with it
• By the time she embarked on a romantic relationship with Magda, the crew was in discussions of letting her in on the secret
• When they finally did so, she was very surprised, but took it in stride – it explained a few things she had noticed over the years
• Married Magdalena in Paris, where they met, in 2013 when France legalized same sex marriage and they decided to retire
• Moved to Amber Hollow and has been a community fixture since
